VIB conference - Metabolism in Cancer and Stromal Cells

1 July 2015

Metabolism in Cancer and Stromal Cells

DATE: 8-10 September 2015
LOCATION: Leuven, Belgium

From September 8 – 10, 2015 VIB will host the interdisciplinary meeting on “Metabolism in Cancer and Stromal Cells” in Leuven. During this international meeting, renowned researchers will focus on how cancer and stromal cells metabolically communicate and how their specific metabolism impacts disease development and progression. These insights into cellular metabolism also offer novel therapeutic opportunities for malignant, metabolic, or inflammatory disease.

A total of 19 international speakers will provide a broad view on metabolic regulation, the link between signaling and metabolism, as well as the intercellular crosstalk. Top speakers at the meeting include Celeste Simon, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, USA; Matt Vander Heiden, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, MIT, USA; Peter Carmeliet, VIB Vesalius Onderzoekscentrum, KU Leuven, BE; Stefano Indraccolo, Istituto Oncologico Veneto-IRCCS, IT; Michael Murphy, Cambridge, UK; Jeff Rathmell, Duke University School of Medicine, USA; Stephen Hursting, University of Texas, USA and many more...

There will also be ample opportunities to network with fellow researchers during the interactive poster sessions, the Belgian Beer tasting and the conference dinner. More info and registration via www.vibconferences.be.
