Symposium 'Gene technology today: a practical approach' - 20 Sept. 2019, organised by the BCCM/GeneCorner Plasmid Collection

26 August 2019

BCCM/GeneCorner, the Belgian Plasmid Collection which is hosted by the VIB-UGent Center for Inflammation Research, organises its second symposium on September 20, 2019, entitled 'Gene technology today: a practical approach'.

The scientific talks will contribute to new insights in gene and plasmid technology, focusing on
  • The VersaTile technology for novel enzyme-based antibiotics
  • Knock-down of gene expression in human primary lymphocytes by lentiviral transduction using pLKO.1 shRNA vectors
  • Jungle Express, a new repressor system for inducible gene expression
  • Easy and efficient gene editing using chemically synthesized guide RNA
  • An accessible and non-restrictive yeast expression toolkit
  • The techniques used at Leuven Viral Vector Core
