We seek an ambitious PhD or postdoctoral fellow to implement superresolution confocal imaging (PALM) in our Alzheimer’s disease research program. Candidates should have already a track record in confocal imaging or related techniques with substantial insights in molecular cell biology. Experience in superresolution microscopy or being passionate about imaging is an advantage. Further on-site training in PALM microscopy is assured through a collaboration with Prof. Johan Hofkens (Sciences&Technology, Laboratory of Molecular & Nanomaterials, KULeuven). The ability to work in a multidisciplinary research team as well as effective communication skills and a good mastery of the English language are essential for a successful selection.
Financial support is available but the successful candidate is encouraged to obtain an independent fellowship (Marie-Curie, EMBO, or National funding organizations) during this time.
