The general assembly of VIB

Due to the vzw statute (non-profit organisation), VIB has the advantage of being an incorporated organisation. The non-profit organisation’s most senior body is the general assembly. The general assembly meets at least once a year, for reasons including inspection of the annual report and approving the next financial year’s budget. The general meeting is also authorised to: change the organisation’s statutes, approving the accounts and budgets and appointing and revoking general assembly members.
The general assembly consists of 35 members. A distinction is made between 6 affiliations: Flemish universities, Flemish scientific institutes, Flemish industry, Flemish employee organisation representatives, Flemish industrial colleges and the Flemish government.
