Job description
In the Cytokine Receptor Lab (CRL; www.crl-mappit.be) of the VIB Department of Medical Protein Research and Ghent University we study signal transduction in higher eukaryotes. We focus on signaling induced through cytokine and Toll-like receptors, which activate pathways that are important for the regulation of metabolic and immune processes in the human body. Based on insights in these receptors, we developed the MAPPIT technology platform, a set of tools to analyze protein interactions in human cells. We are looking to strengthen our team with a motivated PhD student who will work on a research project embedded in the lab’s main research theme, combining MAPPIT technology with a variety of other functional genomics approaches. We offer a stimulating scientific environment with access to state-of-the-art technologies.
