Biotechnology has many applications. VIB provides detailed and scientifically-based information about gene technology and its many applications. These activities support a well based social debate about biotechnology.

Educational commission
VIB's educational commission advises VIB for the development of new school projects. This commission consists out of 12 teachers of second and third grade of secondary schools or persons with teaching experience in these grades.
